Greetings. Yesterday, CBM started a 3 day Teachers Seminar here in the city of Iloilo. Thank God for the great help of DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development), a governmemt owned agency assiting in the training of our kindergarten teachers. We hope CBM teachers will learn more techniques for teaching children. Last March all our 8 kindergarten schools (excluding the 3 schools who partner with us) held their commencement exercises. Everything was successful. God's word was preached again to all parents and to more than 160 students. 70 kinder students were promoted to the first grade, which begins in June. The 3 weeks VBS was also very fruitful. CBM was able to reach 750 children (ages 2-14) and 120 adults in 11 villages this year. Though expensive it was very rewarding because almost all of the children have accepted the Lord. Most of the parents also received Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives. To God be the glory. In May, a church camp, baptismal service and another VBS in one village will be held. We thank God that, inspite of the rain that made us all wet during our last day in Getulio village, the Lord protected us and keep us safe in our daily travel. Sad to say that the jeepney vehicle that we used during this activities needs a new replacement engine. The engine got troubled maybe because of the daily travel we do, especially climbing up the mountain villages. We will again wait for God's provision. The Kia pick up is also in the junk yard and now the engine of the jeepney is malfunctioning. We wlll trust the Lord for provision. It is really very expensive to rent a car or a jeepney. "Those who sow in tears shall reap with joy, He who goes out weeping, bearing precious seed shall come home with shouts of joy, brigning his sheaves with him" Psalms 126:5-6 .
